b'FINANCE DEPARTMENTDepartment Mission Statement: The mission of the Finance Office is to effectively support and record the schools financial plan to support appropriate funding for all programs benefiting Our Lady of Lourdes students and families. The Finance Office worksto report the financial position of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, its departments, and business activities for various parties includingThe Board of Trustees, creditors, donors, Archdiocese and others who may have a vested interest in the financial activity and financial health of the school. Within the scope of this mission is this departments responsibility under the direction of the school President to coordinate and direct all financial transactions to be certain they are in keeping with the policies and procedures set forth by the Our Lady ofLourdes High SchoolCEO and BOT, all applicable legal requirements, including federal, state and local and those of the Archdiocese of New York.Objectives:Build a significant endowment that provides financial flexibilityparticularly with respect to financial aid and scholarships.Action Steps:1.Workwith the Principal, Board of Trustees, and Institutional Advancement Office and all School Leadership to ensure success of planned capital campaign & endowment initiative. 2.Work with IA and CEO/CFO to identify and research grants, and to secure scholarships and other revenue sources build endowment. 3.Provide support for alumni engagement, including awareness of planned giving options.Objective:Attain a position of lasting financial strength for OLLHSAction Steps: Work with CEO/CFO to evaluate academic and athletic investments that have a minimal return on investment (swimming, teams, class size, software, etc) 2.Work with CEO/CFO to create a five year plan to close the gap between education cost per student and tuition income. 3.Create annual finance events, and online communications that engage parents to ensure understanding of financial commitments and how they relate to financial stability of OLLHS. 4.Work with Administration and Athletic Department leadership to create clear and concise policy and procedure for individual athletic team fundraising, allowable expenditures, and requisition pipeline. 5.Assist Athletic leadership to streamline clear and concise communication regarding athletic fundraising policy and procedures to all stakeholders.'
