The department strives to serve as a model of responsible digital citizenship.Objectives:To improve the technological infrastructure at OLL.Action Steps:Map the network architecture from the modem, through the firewall/router and to the various racks, switches and uplinks that feed the wireless access points, user terminals, printers et cetera. Evaluate and upgrade (as needed) network hardware to ensure uninterrupted data flow throughout the school. This includes replacing outdated switches and the server which is entering into obsolescence and, if left in place, could represent a security and efficacy issue with the cessation of Microsoft updates and support.Design and deploy a new, whole-building wi-fi system, which will allow us to regain control over all wireless controllers and access points, as well as to improve access strength in weak-signal areas of the building.To improve website presentation and functionality.
