Starting as a varsity player in her freshman year at Lourdes, Maddy has gone on to become one of the greatest scorers in NCAA history, breaking records at every level. Most recently, Maddy was the 3rd overall pick of the 2023 WNBA draft selected by the Dallas Wings, where she is now playing forward in professional women’s basketball.

While at Lourdes, in her junior and senior years, Siegrist was named Poughkeepsie Journal Player of the Year, with an average of 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists per game, helping to take the team to the Section 1 Class AA semifinals, Her senior year as a Warrior she improved her averages to 32.7 points and 13.1 rebounds per game and committed to play college basketball at Villa Nova.
Setting records continued for Siegrist on the collegiate level, where she broke the record for freshman single-game scoring, helping her earn first-team All-Big East and Freshman of the Year honors. As a sophomore at Villa Nova, she continued to dazzle when she was a unanimous first-team All-Big East selection. In her junior year, she led the Big East and ranked second in the NCAA Division 1 in scoring, was named Big East Player of the Year, and earned unanimous first-team All-Big East honors. Siegrist was a third-team All-American selection by the Associated Press and the United States Basketball Writers Association.
In February 2023, Siegrist posted a career-high 50 points and 10 rebounds in a 99–65 win over Seton Hall. She broke the Big East and Villanova single-game scoring records and became the Big East’s all-time leading scorer.As a senior, she was the nation’s leading scorer, averaging 29.0 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. She recorded 13 games of at least 30 points and scored no less than 21 points in a game in 2023. She became the Big East’s all-time leading scorer, men’s or women’s, with 1,693 points. Following an outstanding season, she was named Big East Player of the Year and earned unanimous first-team All-Big East honors.
Also during her senior year at Villa Nova, Maddy was honored to be chosen to represent the USA as one of six college hoops stars selected to the USA Basketball women’s 23-and-under 3x3 team that competed in an International Basketball Federation tournament in 2022.
