Class of ’69 Scholarship Endowment
With our up-front funding, OLL has agreed to establish a named endowment program to provide tuition scholarships for deserving students. This endowment lives in perpetuity and annual grants made by the school will reflect fund earnings while maintaining intact the principal amount of the endowment. Lourdes is aligned with the Class of 1969 on the program, its administration, and candidate selection.
Initial Endowment Goal and Grants
Our goal is an initial endowment of $150,000 funded by gifts of $1,500+ from our classmates. Participation from 100+ classmates will get us to that goal.
An endowment of $150,000 might be expected to earn an average return of 4% over time. This would allow the school to make annual grants of approximately $6,000 while maintaining the principal amount of the endowment. Considering that annual tuition at OLL is today approximately $8,600 (and likely increasing), our annual tuition assistance grants would be a small but meaningful start. Hopefully, we will be able to expand the endowment with future fundraising.
Contributions to the Endowment Fund
Please join us with your gift of $1,500 or more. Your gift may be made in cash or securities and is tax-deductible. The gift may also be distributed over a three-to-five-year period if you should choose and if this would allow a more significant commitment to the endowment. Of course, no gift is too small and we are grateful for all contributions.
The attached form should accompany contributions to the Class of 1969 Endowment Fund.
All gifts should be mailed to:
