OLL Groundbreaking Ceremony for new field!

Almost 100 guests and the student body, including all faculty, administration and staff were in attendance for this momentous occasion.  This long awaited facility will include an all-purpose turf field for field hockey, football, lacrosse and soccer, surrounded by a track.  Mr. Bradley Westrick, Director of Athletics, served as Master of Ceremonies for this occasion, introducing Mr. David Mateer, Chairman of the OLL Board of Trustees, Father Lagiovane, Capital Campaign Co-Chairs, John Mack and Denise Doring VanBuren and Mr. Richard Corbally who spoke on behalf of the James J. McCann Charitable Trust, whose generosity in the form of a total $1 million gift have made this facility possible.  Upon a “blessing” of the field and track area by Bishop Dominick Lagonego, Mr. Genaro Argenio led the ceremonial “shovel dig”.  Those participating in this ceremony included:
