Father John M. Lagiovane

Father John M. Lagiovane is a priest of the Archdiocese of New York. He was ordained in 1992 by Cardinal John J. O’Connor. Father was assigned as a Parochial Vicar from 1992-1996 at Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh. From 1996-1999 Fr. Lagiovane was assigned to Aedan’s Parish in Pearl River, New York as Parochial Vicar.
Father was assigned from 1999-2006 to the faculty of Msgr. Farrell High School in Staten Island, New York. He taught Religion and Philosophy and for 4 of those years was the Freshmen Guidance Counselor.
Fr. Lagiovane received a BA in Philosophy from St. John’s University in June 1988. He then went on to study at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers where he received 2 graduate degrees: a Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) in Theology and Bachelors in Sacred Theology (S.T.B.). Father also went on to receive an MS in Education in Counseling along with a Professional Diploma (PD) in School Administration. He also received his Permanent Certification in School Counseling as well as School Administration.
