The Year of Faith: October 11, 2012-November 24, 2013

This prayer was used by Pope John XXIII at the Second Vatican Council at the beginning of every session. We come before you, Holy Spirit, Conscious of our sinfulness, But aware that we gather in Your name. Come to us, remain with us, and enlighten our hearts. Give us light and strength to know Your will, To make it our own, And to live it in our lives. Guide us by Your wisdom, support us by Your power, For You are God, sharing the glory of Father and Son.

Matthew 28:5-7

Then the angel said to the women in reply, “Do not be afraid! I know that you are seeking Jesus, the crucified. He is not here, for He has been raised just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples He has been raised from the dead, and He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see Him.”
